34 It is like a man away-on-a-journey. Having left his house and having given authority to his slaves— to each[a] as to his work— he also commanded the doorkeeper that he should be keeping-watch. 35 Therefore, keep watching— for you do not know when the master of the house is coming, whether evening[b] or midnight or rooster-crowing or early-morning— 36 that having come suddenly, he may not find you sleeping.
